Here, you can see the upper portion
of the antenna. This antenna has seen better days
as it has been up for about 6 months. We have
had some fairly heavy winds lately which is why the
"hanger" is deformed from a straight line.
But even in this there is a silver lining. By
lowering the balun a bit by lengthening the support
cord, I was able to increase the inside area of the
loop. Remember, the more space inside the loop
the better it will work. To point the antenna,
I need only move the lower tie-down lines 90degrees
or whatever and it simply spins from its hanging point.
Also, Red Gum Eucylyptus trees are natural towers.
The branch that this antenna is attached to is
50 feet up and nicely horizontal.
